In summer 2020 we introduced a number of measures in the guest house to minimise the risk of coronavirus to our guests and staff, and they will continue in 2021. These are designed to make your holiday as safe and normal as possible.

Clean and Safe

Most importantly, we are certified Clean and Safe by Turismo de Portugal. This means we have implemented extra hygiene measures, as required by the Direção-Geral da Saúde, to help prevent transmission of the virus. Also we have a plan for what to if there is a suspected case at the property. You can read our full list of measures here, and find more information on the official Clean and Safe website. We ask guests to follow a few simple rules, like washing your hands frequently, but most of the measures are for us to worry about!

All private rooms

In summer 2020 we converted Lagide room, our 4 bed dorm, to a private quadruple room. This proved pretty popular and so it will stay that way for 2021. It’s a lovely light room with a balcony facing the sunset over the sea, and a private bathroom outside the room. Great for a family or group of friends, or for the kids to use while the adults stay in a separate room.

Fully flexible bookings

We understand that people might be reluctant to make firm holiday plans in advance this summer, so we continue to offer free cancellation until 7 days before you check in. Or if you do feel confident about your holiday plans then feel free to take advantage of our 10% discount for non-refundable bookings!

Separate breakfast service

In place of our buffet breakfast we now provide individual breakfast boxes for each room. Same delicious fresh bread with cheese, ham and other tidbits, but in a box. And you’ll get your own table for the duration of your stay, or you can eat outside or in your room. Each room also gets their own plates and cutlery, and their own tea and coffee containers. No need to share. Tea should always be relaxing and worry-free!

So be reassured, and be excited about your holiday! Come and visit this summer for the same big experience in our small village by the world class waves of Baleal.
