First things first – your gear. At the house you’ll find all you need to wash, dry and store your suits and boards. With the help of some winter sun your suit might even be dry-ish for the next time, what a luxury!
With the boards done it’s now your turn. Restore the warmth to your fingers and toes in your en suite shower before brewing a nice hot coffee. Don’t forget a decent pair of slippers for protection against Portugal’s love of practical and often beautiful tiled floors. Stay warm in winter
Even in the depths of winter there are some lovely sunny days, so we place the giant squishy bean bags in the sunniest, most sheltered corner of the garden for catching those warm rays. Lying here, all you can see are bright white walls and blue sky. Classic Portugal. Or curl up on the sofa under a rug and let the warmth from the fire tempt you into a nap.
When it’s time for bed you’ll find a winter duvet, room heater, rugs and extra blankets at the ready. In fact, there is no need to wait for bed time, spend all afternoon there if you like.
